TERMS OF SERVICE

Thank you very much for contacting me, I am looking forward to getting started. To make sure that both parties involved have a good time while working together, I’d like to clarify some details that have led to misunderstandings in the past. Please read this document and let me know if you have any questions.
The deadline is an estimate, at which I will deliver a 1st draft of the project in question, unless otherwise clarified. The delivery time depends on workload, the project in question and communication.
Once we agree on working together, I will send you an official invoice with the payment details. These vary from project to project. For larger projects I ask for a deposit of 50% to be paid in advance and the final 50% to be settled upon delivery. Final files, masters or premasters will not be given out before payment has been settled.
I offer unlimited revisions, as long as they are realistic and reasonable. I want you to be 100% happy with eh results, with no compromises. After hearing the 1st mix, please take your time to collect your thoughts. This helps keeping the number of revisions low and also helps avoiding over saturation and loss of perspective. I found that a maximum of 4-5 revisions are ideal. Above that there is the risk of loosing perspective and it is better to take a break and get back to it a few days later. Revisions can be done while the project is active and I will make sure to accommodate all your requests quickly. Once a project has been approved and the payment settled, any further revisions will be charged at £25/15 minutes it takes to implement them. Also, additional revisions might not be possible after some time, because my setup keeps changing and evolving constantly. It might not be possible to recall your project after a few months it was submitted to you.
4: Replacing files/tracks
Please understand that after the mixing has started, replacing large amounts of files can be very difficult. I do a lot of editing to erase unwanted errors in the files I receive, such as double breaths, lip clicks, guitar noise and more. I also clean up tom hits and do a lot of phase aligning and other technical adjustments that make a difference to the final outcome. This takes considerable time, but makes the resulting mix just that much punchier and clearer. Because of this, please make sure that the files you send to me are final and produced to the best of your capability. Replacing files after the first mix has been sent to you will be charged at £25/15 minutes it takes for them to be implemented.
5: Stems and individual files
I am happy to provide up to 5 stems of the final mix upon request, free of charge. This is usually enough for live performances or small corrections to the mix in the future. If more stems or individual files are required, then please make sure you let me know in advance. Individual files will be charged at £25/15 minutes it takes for them to be prepared.
6: Sit in sessions/Daily work
Different terms apply for daily work such as attended mixing sessions, recording and producing. Please contact me for details and we will work it out on an individual basis. Thank you for reading this document. I am fully dedicated to deliver the best possible service and I believe that by sticking to these guidelines we can ensure a frictionless collaboration with great results.
